Bertha M. Davis, a graduate of Indiana Vocational Technical State College; Secretarial Science and Computer Literacy was her Major. She has written a compelling, vivid, and descriptive biography that grips at the very core of every human emotion of growing up in the Mississippi Delta. This book captures the experiences of young black women in the South before and during the Civil Rights Movement. Her book, "growing up in Mississippi," won the Best Book Award. Growing Up In Mississippi Audio Book won the National Indie Excellence finalist Award and has received numerous of reviews including a review on C-Span-2 Book T V. She happily traded in her full time job for a rewarding career as a children's author. She has written relationships book, a work book, inspirational, and poetry. The best part: working from her home office, she gets to spend more time writing and promoting her books.
